Wow, what an amazing Journey!
We travelled up and down the East Coast looking for the ideal location to retire to. We found Port Macquarie which ticked all the boxes and more, including the people who lived there, and we knew we would be happy there for the rest of our lives.
Now to check out the housing situation for the ideal place for us. We were lucky to come across the best Real Estate Agent in Port in Greg Bates (Elders). In all our many visits up from Sydney Greg was so helpful and obliging and only took us to view properties that matched our requirements. We fell in love with one of these houses but unfortunately missed out on it. A few weeks later Greg rang and he had a deal to offer. He had been speaking to the Builder (Jarrod Loveday -J & M East Coast Constructions) of the house we loved and he offered us the exact same house on a Block of Land of our choosing in Package Deal. We jumped at it ! The right House at the right location. Thank you Greg.
A little dilemma faced us which was how to monitor the Build from Sydney. After a couple of visits, Jarrod offered to send us Photo’s of each stage of the build and communicate with us regularly. This he did, almost every weekend including an aerial shot when the roof went on. This helped us enormously.
We call Jarrod a “Boutique Builder” because he doesn’t have many houses under construction at one time. His focus and time were on our House. He is on-site all the time, with his Team and is a hands-on tradesman who takes immense pride in his and his team’s work. This is evidenced in the finishes of each and every room. Jarrod is easily contactable and is very helpful and obliging especially with “small” additions and alterations we asked for. We got the house we fell in love with. Jarred has also been easily contactable and obliging with any matter or questions we have had since we moved in. We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Jarrod and his Company for all construction needs being a House, Renovations or Alterations.
Jarred, we thank you so very, very much for all you have done for us. We are so very proud of the Home you have given us. Everyone who visits us, and there have been many, are blown away at seeing the house as they all comment of the great finishes, colours, tile selections etc inside. We even get passersby who stop and comment on the look and style of the outside of the house. We wish you, Mel, Jack and Bindi all the very best for the future and we look forward to the ongoing friendship with you all.
